Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 14, 2026
This policy describes how Gwajee, operated by Nayora Vital LLC, collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and learning platform. This page describes the current product accurately and does not claim compliance certifications we have not obtained.
Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, school or organization, and role (student, teacher, host, or school administrator). Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never stored by us in plain text.
- Learning and game activity: game codes, player nicknames and avatars, questions answered, answers, scores, wagers, elimination and lockdown events, remediation attempts, saved study items, study sessions, Study Buddy conversations, and classroom or assignment records.
- Knowledge Vault: content and files you upload, plus metadata about them. Uploaded content is stored privately by default.
- Billing: we do not store full card numbers. Payments are processed by Stripe, and we store the subscription tier, status, and the Stripe identifiers needed to manage your subscription.
- Optional notifications: push-subscription identifiers if you enable question reminders.
- Technical and usage data: IP addresses used for rate limiting and abuse prevention, Supabase session cookies, and AI usage metadata (provider, model, token counts, and estimated cost).
How we use information
- Provide and operate the service: hosting games, generating content you request, tracking progress, and delivering reports to teachers and schools.
- Process payments and manage subscriptions through Stripe.
- Improve the product and prevent abuse, including rate limiting and security monitoring.
- Send transactional email (for example, password recovery and trial-ending notices).
AI processing
When you use AI features such as question generation, Study Buddy, or remediation, the content you ask us to process is sent to third-party AI providers (for example, OpenAI, Anthropic, or DeepSeek) solely to produce the requested output. Text you choose to have read aloud is sent to our text-to-speech provider (ElevenLabs). We do not use your content to train those providers' models.
Cookies and local storage
We use Supabase authentication cookies to keep you signed in, and browser storage for lightweight in-game state. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, and we do not sell personal information.
Data retention and your rights
We retain account, learning, and reporting data to keep your experience and history intact. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us; account deletion removes your profile and personal data from our systems. If you are in a jurisdiction that grants additional privacy rights (such as the EU or UK), those rights apply to your use of the service.
Children
Gwajee is not directed at children under 13. Where schools use Gwajee with students, the school is responsible for obtaining any necessary parental consent.
